With standout rounds like a 2-under 70 at Wildhorse and a 2-over 72 at Apple Mountain, he’s balanced athletic success with a strong 3.75 GPA. A committed mentor through the Cameron Champ Golf Academy and New Age Golf, Cruz is passionate about making golf more accessible in underrepresented communities. Aspiring to play college golf at CSU Maritime, he credits SABGC for helping him pursue his dreams.
Serenity Adams-McDonald is a passionate mental health advocate and neuroscience student at Hampton University, where she maintains a 4.0 GPA. Driven by a desire to break generational cycles of trauma in the Black community, she aims to earn a PhD to help others heal and reclaim their power. Raised in poverty and overcoming adversity, Serenity uses education and outreach to empower others, while also challenging stereotypes by promoting golf as a pathway to opportunity and inclusion. Her resilience, academic excellence, and commitment to change make her a powerful force for community uplift.
Stanford Gilmore Jr. is a student-athlete who has already won over 40 golf titles through U.S. Kids and Under Armour tournaments. A leader on and off the course, he mentors peers, shows respect, and recently competed in the U.S. Kids World Championship in 2024. With dreams of earning a golf scholarship to Stanford University, he’s committed to representing young minority golfers in Sacramento. His passion, discipline, and leadership make him an inspiring young talent worthy of this scholarship.
Joziah Jackson is a talented young golfer from Elk Grove, California, with a passion for learning and growing in the game. He is a dedicated young athlete who discovered his passion for golf just eight months ago. In that short time, the game has become much more than a sport—it’s an outlet and a source of peace through every emotion. Joziah appreciates the life lessons golf teaches, like understanding that not every shot—or moment in life—will go perfectly. What makes golf especially meaningful for him is the chance to play alongside his dad and brother, creating memories that other sports like football, basketball, and baseball haven’t offered in the same way. Joziah is committed to continuing his growth in the game and looks forward to improving each time he steps on the course.

Keana Maxwell is a driven and inspiring young golfer from Sacramento, California, born on March 12, 2007. A standout student-athlete at McClatchy High School, Keana served as the captain of her golf team, showcasing leadership, dedication, and a deep passion for the game. Grace Delaitoga is a young and passionate golfer from Sacramento, California, born in 2012. With a growing love for the game and a drive to improve with every round, Grace represents the next generation of talent in youth golf. Zetarri Samuel is an 8th-grade high honor roll student from Sacramento, California, with a deep passion for golf. Introduced to the sport at age five, Zetarri quickly fell in love with the game and began developing his skills through youth golf camps and local programs. He is an active member of several golf organizations, including First Tee of Greater Sacramento, SABGC, and the Cameron Champ Golf Academy. With the support of dedicated coaches and mentors, Zetarri has trained on courses across California, consistently strengthening his game. Zetarri is focused on joining his high school golf team and ultimately earning a D1 college golf scholarship while pursuing a career in architecture or engineering. For Zetarri, golf is more than a game—it’s a pathway to growth, focus, and lifelong opportunity.
